Inspired by the Kids
He is also a star to the many of the students, parents and staff at the Viscardi Center where he attends their annual Celebrity Sports Night, but the kids are the true inspiration. The Viscardi Center is a network of non-profit organizations that provides a lifespan of services for children and adults with disabilities.
In 2017, these charities raised $8+ million thanks to Joe Namath’s leadership & personal commitment. Namath assists numerous other charities indirectly with his event attendance and donations.
Additionally, the Joe Namath Football Camp completed its 45th season this year of teaching boys (8 – 18) the proper instruction & technique of the game of football. Since the camp’s inception in 1972, Namath & his teammate John Dockery, fellow teammates, NFL players, high school coaches and the JNFC staff have served as positive role models for over 25,000 campers and have taught them about the importance of teamwork & how to play football the right way!
